Elizabethan Clothing
In the Elizabethan times, clothing you wore also gave away what social class you were in. Royals wore more elaborate clothing, where as 'peasants' or people with a lower class had simple clothes. Women mostly wore gowns, under clothing, corsets, collars, and hats. Men were more accustomed to doublets, under clothing, breeches, hats, and collars. Color in clothes also had a significant affect on social status's. Some colors were more difficult to get than others, or more expensive, so wealthier people would wear those. Common folks would wear cheaper and more natural colors.
